I have not gotten permission from any of my customers to post testimonials of my workmanship even though I have many happy repeat customers for years now. I'm not really the type of person that chooses to solicit referals or testimonials so I'm not too sure how long this section will stay listed on the site. For now I will leave it as it is in hopes that some of the folks that appreciate the good repair, install, or, construction work that Don Moody has perfromed for them.

Handyman Reality has a facebook page and on that page there is a tab for a Reviews page. My feeling is that one could be most helpful to their own friends and family if they leave a review on the facebook page for Handyman Reality in addition to the review posted here on this site. I know I'm pushing it a little here...lol

Don put in a Bathroom in our basement three years ago. He gave us a completion time and he was done right around the time. The mess was very little and have had no prolems with hs work. When we have a handyman problem we call him and he come right to our rescue and fixes our problem. He is a Jack of all Trades and are glad we have his help. I would refer him anytime he gets the job done......

I rfound Don's ad on kijiji and he was able to come over the next day and install a dishwasher for my daughter, He was very knowledgable and efficient. Nice guy and very reasonable rates. If you need anythiong...I highly reccomend Don

Didn't finish the job
I responded to Don's ad on Kijiji as we needed some appliances installed. He seemed very professional and honest. He came to install the appliances as promised, and made a trip to Home Depot to purchase some supplies for the job, after which he returned to my house to start the installation. We were happy with him at that point and had even mentioned some other jobs he might be able to help us with. After working for about 45 minutes to an hour, he just snuck out the door and left without saying anything. He had not completed any portion of the job at that point. We called his cell several times and he did not pick up or return our messages. We hadn't paid him and haven't noticed anything missing from our house so we are assuming he hasn't ripped us off, just wasted our time and we're not sure why. Very strange but I definitely wouldn't recommend him.

In my defense, for an appointment that was late in the day, I did show up on time and ready to work with tools on hand.
I had many tasks to take care of and in a short period of time. I inspected the jobs to be done and aquired the materials in a short period of time.
I am sure that given the freedom to do my jobs everything could have worked out satisfactorly.
I surely did not sneak out, I cleaned up my tools and drop cloths, retreived my ladder from the basement and made 2 trips to my truck to stow my tools. Yes, albeit, all in complete silence.
There will be no bill for my time and, as to the "assuming I haven't ripped you off", my insurance information, including policy number, is listed in the faq's of this site here.
I apologize for wasting your time.

Drain Cleaning
I had a laundry drain that was plugged up and backing up into the room. Don came very quickly and did a nice, clean job. He thoroughly snaked the floor drain and verified it was cleaned out. He also cleaned up any mess and was very friendly. I thought the price was reasonable compared to what other bigger companies were quoting me.

I am actually thinking of becoming a customer since I am confronting myself with a big dilemma right now. What is the best way to install vessel sink vanities, before installing the sink or after? You may find this question silly but I've never done this kind of work, this is really a first for me. I just like to give it a try, if I don't succeed I will never try it again.

When it comes to vessel sinks or bathroom basins there are a few considerations to take into account and to make things simple I will supply a few links to some other resources on the net.

NOTE: After a design choice has been decided upon the first thing to ensure that is going to be acceptable is the location of the plumbing water supply and drain as they enter the wall.
Most manufactured plumbing products come with what is known as "rough in" dimensions for installation and are best followed directly. Current building codes in Canada end at the CSA approved appliance or fixture and the manufacturer specidfications then become the requirements for installation.
As some vessel sinks are supplied with a lower vanity cabinet it is essential to determine the adjustments that may be requred before the installation of drywall or especially installation of the cabinet.
